Snapshot: Coram Deo teaches young Kenyan adults about servant leadership

“All this taught me one thing: The highest level of leadership is servanthood.”
-Charity Mugeni, “Disciplines of Love” group facilitator in Nairobi

Charity and her class

Charity (far right) helps provide guidance to a “Disciplines of Love” group formed by Christian union students at the school where she teaches. One day, after learning from her personal studies as a Coram Deo participant, she drew for the students the Disciplines of Love matrix outlining the four areas of human need. The students thus decided to clean up their school, dividing themselves into teams and tackling classrooms, outdoor common areas and even toilets.

Charity cleaned right alongside her students, demonstrating true leadership.
