Scott Allen explains how God’s kingdom advances through an inside-out process of transformation. It begins with the supernatural transformation of human hearts through the power of the gospel and the Holy Spirit. From there, minds are to be transformed as Christians take every thought captive to the Word of God. Transformation then ripples out into the social sphere. The first and most basic social unit to be transformed is the family. From here, God’s kingdom advances into every sphere of society and, in the end, “the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).
