New Book Release: Emancipating the World!

Darrow Miller’s latest title, Emancipating the World. A Christian Response to Radical Islam and Fundamentalist Atheismwas released May 1.

This book treats what the Great Commission means for the church of 2012, facing Secular Atheism on the one hand and Radical Jihadism on the other. What should be the Christian response to these two fronts, the war in the West and the war from the East?

Of all Darrow’s books, President Scott Allen deems Emancipating the World as perhaps closest to the core of the heart and message of Disciple Nations Alliance, i.e. the radical task of making disciples as Jesus envisioned it.

Adherents of fundamentalist atheism and militant Islam know who they are and what they are about. They have an all-encompassing narrative that guides their lives, and they want to impose these ideas on the world. Darrow argues that the church must reclaim a fuller, more biblical understanding of the Great Commission if it hopes to prevail against the twin threats of both fundamentalist atheism and militant Islam.

The book is available for purchase here (at a discount through June 30).

Beauty: Abortion’s Antidote with Sami Parker

Discover a vision for a culture that recognizes the innate beauty of every human life as we journey with Sami Parker of Live Action through the frontlines of pro-life advocacy. Witness firsthand how Live Action is challenging the prevailing worldviews promoting abortion, utilizing social media to spark transformative discussions that transcend the screen into the very fabric of society. The predominant narrative or story of our time does not recognize God, sees humans as mere animals, and labels unrestrained sex as a “human right.” The biblical worldview recognizes the beauty in every aspect of God’s created order. This episode is a call to Christians to don the full armor of their faith, merging the Gospel’s transformative power with active cultural engagement to foster a society that not only protects, but cherishes life.

Shifts in Journalism that Left Behind Objectivity and the Bible with Dr. Marvin Olasky

Increasingly, news culture pushes stories that advance their agenda from writers sitting behind a desk. Gone are the days when reporters would get onto the street to reveal the facts about what is happening at the heart of an issue. Dr. Marvin Olasky calls us back to this foundation, reminding us of the importance of hearing from diverse viewpoints and going beyond austere sermonizing to tell stories that are not only useful and true, but interesting. Olasky is quick to point out the profound impact that Christianity had on culture as he recounts the mistreatment of people in other times and parts of the world. Join us and consider the news you are hearing and sharing with others.
