The DNA is Now Hiring for an Accounting Associate/Office Manager
Summary
This full-time (40 hours/week) position provides oversight to all financial transactions, manages payroll, interfaces with constituents, and proactively contributes to operations of the Disciple Nations office team.
Job Duties
- Maintains all workflows related to incoming donations, bill payments, money transfers, receipts for grants, and revenue sources.
- Works closely with our external accounting firm to maintain accurate financial records and ensure all state and federal requirements are met.
- Manages monthly payroll
- Maintains DNA’s contacts management database.
- Assists in planning and executing seasonal events such as fundraising dinners and global gatherings of DNA trainers and partners.
- Maintains DNA business files and records
- Fulfill online and office bookstore orders
- Assists in preparing financial reports
- Responsible for office equipment function and supplies.
- Proactively identifies ways administrative and operational tasks can be improved and implements solutions.
- Provides customer service to donors, internal staff, board members, outside clients, and vendors.
- Provides support for communication with donors and alliance members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must be in full alignment with the organization’s Christian vision and mission and must have demonstrated administrative abilities including close attention to detail and accuracy, proactive problem solving, independent motivation, strong writing and proofreading skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes, clear, accurate communication skills, flexibility, and a servant’s heart.
Professional Experience
Requires high-level proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the ability to quickly learn new computer-based systems and web-based software. Preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor’s degree and experience with QuickBooks and/or donor-management systems, as well as basic knowledge of nonprofit finance/accounting, customer service, and cross-cultural communication. Experience with event planning also is a plus.
Reports to –Vice President of Operations
Salary – $35,000 to $40,000 depending on relevant work experience and qualifications
