We had wonderful participation at our January webinar and look forward to how we can continue to provide meaningful support to this growing Balladeers community. It was certainly fun to feature international friends during our last session!

Darrow had the opportunity to interview Jeremiah and Mona in November on our Ideas Have Consequences podcast. I love this quote from Jeremiah in their episode, “Discipling Culture Through the Arts”: “The reality is that for even the Christian person who goes to church on Sunday and listens to a sermon for 30 minutes – they’re being discipled 24/7 by the arts and media world. 24/7.” It is so important that Christian artists take up their calling to make excellent art; it has such a strong influence on us and our communities!

The Ennas’ work has had a profound and rippling impact in the Kansas City area and beyond. Their narrative ballet, Underground, presentes the history of slavery in the United States and the role of the Underground Railroad in its abolition. It illustrates how Christians, along with others, worked to overcome evil in their communities. Underground has now been performed annually for 17 years and helped bring healing in places of racial tension, even helping churches come together and build relationships.

Their work is extensive, including community programs for professional artists, students of the arts and fans, families, and friends of the arts. Their Störling Conservatory of Dance partners with Visible Music College to offer courses, certificates, and even a bachelor’s degree in Dance. You will not want to miss this webinar.

Please spread the word–everyone is invited to join this Zoom meeting! I am excited to see what God is doing in this Balladeers community!

RSVP now to be notified with login details for this live and exclusive webinar on Tuesday, March 21 at 9 AM MST (UTC -7)! We will start early for a time to greet one another and stay on after the webinar for a period of answering questions.

One final request!  Would you be one of the first to rate and review A Call for Balladeers on Amazon? This will help others find this resource!

For the glory of the First Artist,

After the event, a recording of the audio and video will be available using the links below!

Learning to Critique & Celebrate Foreign Cultures with George Oliveira

When we cross cultural borders to serve others, it is essential for us to learn when to celebrate cultural diversity and when to critique it. This can be tricky!
